Turtles like tomatoes! who knew?

This is the scene next to one of my 2 tomato plants right now… I think this fellow is glad the garden was neglected while we were gone the last two weeks.

I’d love to see a turtle in my garden. Squirrels are our problem – they love our tomatoes and are obnoxious, sitting on the fence munching away as if they hadn’t a care in the world leaving pieces of tomatoes on tree branches too. The nerve!
Turtles are smart! and have great sense of smell….and what smells better than a ripe tomato?! welcome home, traveler.
